Fees  

1. How much are the fees?

Rp 175.000.000,00 (One hundred and seventy five million) for the entire program (if paid by one lump sum before the student is enrolled in the program).

 

2. Do I have to pay for one lump sum, or can I pay by installment?

You can pay either way. If you want to pay by installments, below are the options:

 

A. Cash with Installment Plan for Term 10 Admission (June 2015 Admission)

  • 1st Payment of IDR 58,333,000, to be settled within 2 weeks time upon receiving the offering letter.
  • 2nd Payment of IDR 58,333,000, to be settled by 30 July 2015
  • 3rd Payment of IDR 58,333,000, to be settled by 15 August 2015

Remark: For admission prior to June 2015, please refer to payment schedule in your offering letter or contact UPH Surabaya 

B. Trimester Basis Installment Plan

  • 1st Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled within 2 weeks time upon receiving the offering letter
  • 2nd Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled before 25 November 2015
  • 3rd Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled before 25 March 2016
  • 4th Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled before 25 July 2016
  • 5th Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled before 25 November 2016
  • 6th Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled before 25 March 2017
  • 7th Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled before 25 July 2017
  • 8th Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled before 25 November 2017
  • 9th Installment of IDR 23,000,000, to be settled before 25 March 2018

 

3. Are there any scholarships available? What is the scholarship process like? Can I see if I can get a scholarship first before I apply for the program?

 Yes, scholarships are available. The process is provided at  http://www.uph.edu/admission/scholarships.html

 Basically, you need to fill in a form, write a paper, and go for an interview.

After that you will be notified if you are eligible for a scholarship before the start of the program.

 

Duration

4. How long is the program?
Three years, with three trimesters each year.

  

Transfers

5. If I am an existing UPH student, and would like to transfer to this program, is it possible?

Yes, you can transfer to this program. Your past completed courses will be assessed and the maximum number of credits that may be transferred is 80 SKS.

 

6. Will there be any credit exemptions if I transfer from another program?

 The maximum credit that may be transferred from another program is 80 sks. These 80 sks that may be transferred should match with our curriculum.

 

7. Can I transfer to Karawaci or Singapore to complete the program after taking the basic modules in Surabaya?

Yes, you can transfer to Karawaci. All courses completed in Surabaya may be transferred to Karawaci.

Currently you cannot transfer to Singapore. However, you may apply for the graduate or Masters program in SIM GE after you graduate from the undergraduate program in Surabaya.

 

Admission Criteria

8. What are the admission criteria for the program?

If you are a 12th grade graduate, you are eligible to apply.

 

9. If my English is very weak, can I still apply for the program?

If you have documentary evidence showing that you have obtained English proficiency level equivalent to

- IELTS 4.5 or

- TOEFL 450 (paper-based) plus 2.5+ in the Test of Written English (TWE) or 45 – 46 (IBT),

 You can apply for the program. For those who do not have documentary evidence, you will need to sit for an English Entrance Examination to determine if your English is sufficient for admission.

 

Curriculum

10. How many modules do I have to take?

One hundred and forty eight SKS worth of modules.

 

11. Do I have to choose my specialisation at the beginning, or do I choose it later in the program?

You may choose your specialization at the end of the first year.

 

12. If I want to change my specialisation halfway, can I do that? Yes.

What about the courses that I have taken, will it be recognised as courses taken towards the new specialisation?

The common core modules will be recognized as courses taken towards the new specialization. Existing specialization courses taken will be considered on a case-by-case basis for recognition for transfer into the new specialization.

 

13. Are all the specialisations going to be offered?

We will offer specializations for International Business and Entrepreneurship and Family Business first.

However, if there is sufficient demand for another specialization, we may consider offering it as well.

 

Features

14. Do I get to go on student exchange programs?

Yes. You have the initial option to go to Karawaci for student exchange.

  

15. If my english is very good, must I do all the english courses from the start?

No. Students will take an English test before admission, to stream you to the appropriate English level. For example, if your test results show that you are at English III, then you will be exempted from English I and English II. For the English classes that you are exempted from, it can be substituted with free electives.

 

16. How do you ensure that the program is international?

All activities will be done in English.

International instructors will be co-teaching with the local team.

You will also go to a selected country for a business study mission.
